A SaaS demo video template you can copy
Most good SaaS demos follow the same shape: a hook, three or four scenes, and a clear next step. This page gives you that structure, scene by scene, with timing and what to put on screen.

The template at a glance
This is a 45 second demo: an opening card, four product scenes and a closing card. It fits a landing page, a launch post or a sales email.
| Part | Time | On screen | What the voice does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening card | 6 s | Product name and a one line promise | States the problem or the result in one sentence |
| Scene 1: main screen | 8 s | The screen people see first | Says what this screen is for |
| Scene 2: key action | 8 s | The one action that matters, with the cursor on it | Says what to click and what happens |
| Scene 3: proof | 8 s | A second feature that backs the promise | Names the benefit, not the button |
| Scene 4: result | 8 s | The outcome, such as a report, a saved item or a score | Says what the user gets |
| Closing card | 6 s | Your call to action and web address | One clear next step |
What to capture for each scene
- One screenshot per scene. Crop out browser tabs, bookmarks and anything private.
- Use real looking data. Empty states make a weak demo, and so does lorem ipsum.
- Keep one idea on screen. If a screen has ten features, pick the one you will talk about.
- Capture at the size you normally use the product. Zooming into small text works best when the screenshot is sharp.
- For a mobile app, capture on the phone, and use the tall 9:16 format.
A script skeleton to fill in
Short sentences read better aloud. Aim for about 12 to 18 words per scene. For more wording help, see the product demo video script template.
- Opening: Tired of [problem]? [Product] helps you [result], without [pain].
- Scene 1: This is your [main screen]. Everything about [topic] lives here.
- Scene 2: To [do the key action], click [control]. [What happens next].
- Scene 3: You can also [feature], so [benefit].
- Scene 4: And here is the result: [outcome you can see].
- Closing: Start free at [your address].
Which screens to pick by product type
| Product type | Screens that work well |
|---|---|
| Analytics or reporting | Overview dashboard, one drill down, an exported report |
| Project or task tool | Board view, a task opened up, a finished sprint |
| CRM or sales tool | Pipeline, a contact page, an automated follow up |
| Developer tool | The setup screen, a live result, the dashboard after a week |
| Mobile app | Home, the main action, the result screen |
How DemoVey uses this structure
DemoVey builds the opening card, scenes and closing card for you. You upload screenshots in the order you want and describe the product in a sentence or two. It writes the script, records a voice in 84 languages and moves the cursor and zoom to match what is being said.
There is no template gallery to choose from. The structure above is how the script is organized, and you can steer it with a short note, such as a shorter video or a focus on one feature.
Questions
How long should a SaaS demo video be?
Thirty to sixty seconds for a landing page or email. This template runs about 45 seconds. Longer walkthroughs belong in your help center.
How many screenshots do I need?
Four to six covers the template. One for each product scene, plus an extra if you want to show a before and after.
Can I change the template?
Yes. Add a note in the style step, such as skip the result scene or focus on one feature, and the script follows it.
